The government provides agricultural equipment on subsidy to farmers to make it easier for them to do farming. For this, the Subsidy on Agricultural Equipment scheme has been given a different name in each state. Under this, farmers can buy low cost agricultural equipment. Here the state government gives subsidy on tractors and power tillers to the farmers.
Apart from this, a subsidy of Rs 1 lakh is given on agricultural equipment. Farmers who want to apply for it can avail its benefits. According to media reports, farmers are being provided the benefit of subsidy on agricultural machines under the National Horticulture Mission by the Horticulture Department.
Eligibility to avail Power Tiller Purchase Assistance Scheme
The benefit of Power Tiller Sahay Yojana is provided by the Department of Agriculture, Farmers Welfare and Cooperation, Government of Gujarat . Online application for availing tractor assistance scheme has to be done through i-Khedoot portal. Eligibility for farmers to avail the benefit of this power tiller assistance scheme is determined by the horticulture department . Which is stated below.
- Farmer should be Gujarat state applicant.
- Beneficiary should be farmer.
- The purchase has to be made from the authorized dealer of the manufacturer included in the panel prepared for the purpose of price discovery announced by the Department of Agriculture from time to time. Only once per account
- Farmers will have to apply online to avail the benefits of this scheme.
Subsidy given to farmers on agricultural equipment
Power tiller and 20 H.P. Till now, subsidy on tractors is being provided to all categories of farmers. Different subsidies are given to all categories of farmers. which is like this-
Power Tiller (less than 8 BHP)
- Maximum Rs 40,000/unit for general category farmers on power tillers with capacity less than 8 BHP power. Apart from this, a maximum subsidy of Rs 50,000/unit is given for women farmers, Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe, small and weaker section farmers.
Power Tiller (8 BHP and above)
- Rs. 60,000/unit for general category farmers for power tiller of this category. A maximum of Rs 75,000/unit will be given to women farmers, Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe, small and vulnerable farmers.
Mechanical Knapsack Sprayer (Capacity above 16 litres)
- Maximum Rs 0.08/unit for general category farmers \ Maximum Rs 0.10/unit for women farmers, Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe, small and vulnerable farmers.

- Aadhaar card of the applying farmer
- PAN card of the applying farmer
- Farmer’s Residence Certificate
- Farmer’s Income Certificate
- Copy of bank passbook for bank account details
- Farmer’s mobile number which is linked to Aadhaar
- Passport size photo of farmer
- Farmer’s land papers etc.
